The Journey of our Trees
All trees planted with Forestmatic across our global project portfolio follow a similar journey. Each tree is nursed, distributed, planted, captured, approved, verified and monitored.
Tree Nursery The Seeds
Forestmatic operates with carefully selected local partners on the ground for tree planting operations. In each location, tree nurseries need to be established to plant and grow seedlings into saplings.
Tree Nursery The Saplings
Sapling trees are selected out of the nursery and prepared for distribution to planting locations. A sapling is roughly 20 to 40 cm in size, and is planted during the appropriate local planting season.
Tree Planting Plant & Capture
During the season, sapling trees are planted in designated planting sites. After roughly 1 to 2 months, each site is re-visited by a tracker, capturing each planted tree.
Proof-of-WorkVerification
Each tree capture (image) and data is processed by Forestmatic verifying tree location, conditions, quality, etc... Digitalizing verified and approved trees to be presented on our public solution.
Proof-of-Growth (NEW!)Drone Monitoring
Forestmatic is introducing drone monitoring which will provide proof-of-growth for trees planted, captured and verified by Forestmatic for our clients.
Tree GrowthMaturity
On average, across all our location, fast growing tree species are able to reach a mature size between 4 to 6 years.
