Tree planting activity and event organized by Forestmatic for the Movistar Team, planting 1000 trees in Sanguesa, Navarra, Spain, in partnership with Life Terra. Offsetting a total of 200 tonnes of CO2e over the next 40 years.

The Movistar Team is originated and based out of Navarra, Spain. The team has chosen to offset it's entire 2019 carbon footprint by supporting their local environmental ecosystem through the planting of 1000 trees.
The location where this event will take place was formerly used for agriculture, but has been abandoned and was partially polluted by building and road waste. This location will be restored thanks to Movistar Team tree planting activities, with the following species reviving the area:

Quercus faginea / Portuguese oak
Sorbus domestica / Service tree
Rhamnus alaternus / Mediterranean buckthorn
Juniperus phoenicea / Phoenicean juniper
Juglans regia / Walnut
Pistacia therebintus / Turpentine tree

Phyllirea latifolia / Green olive tree
Quercus coccifera / Kermes oak
